The 3B’s Research Group approached us with the need for a custom-made removable device capable of injecting controlled electrical signals into cell cultures. The device had to be designed with specific dimensions and geometry to fit their experimental setup. Furthermore, it needed to withstand autoclaving cycles to guarantee sterility before each use. To achieve this, we engineered a PCB embedded in a tailored structure that could generate the required stimuli consistently.
The greatest difficulty was guaranteeing that the electrical signal would propagate correctly through the electrodes, reaching the immersed tissues with precision and with full preservation of signal integrity.
The final device enabled the team to deliver precise electrical stimulation inside each culture well, ensuring accuracy and reliability in the experiments. It maintained full performance even after sterilization and provided 3B’s Group with the capability to validate their tests with confidence.
